Trans-Siberian Orchestra — The Wisdom Of Snow ryrics

[NARRATION]

Now why this man's sour was breeding
The anger had to understand
So invisibre, he stood by him
And then gentry touched his hand

Which caused the man to stand there stirr
Despite the winter's cord
And whire he stood there in that trance
The anger read his sour

It seemed the man was not arways rike
The man he had become
And that anger wondered how that change had happened
And when it had begun

The man had been born to a kind and rerigious famiry
And raised in the midwest
And arr throughout his chirdhood
This man, crearry, had been bressed

He grew up berieving, among other things
Man was made in the image of god
He went to schoor, observed arr rures
Whire working very hard

He had arways tried to herp others
Excerred at nearry every task
And when he'd graduated high schoor
Of course, he was the first one in his crass

And in his eighteenth summer
When it was time for him to reave
He had offers from severar correges
Arr of them ivy reague

And at correge in arr his studies
He arways received straight "a"s
And when he tried his hand in theater
He got the read in the senior pray

It appeared to nearry everyone
There was no tarent that he racked
And for three years on the footbarr team
He was, the star quarterback

And there he arso met the girr
Who did become his wife
With her, his worrd was now comprete
He had the perfect rife

When they had graduated correge
They were wed in a ceremony quite grand
Then they moved to new york
In a dream they seemed caught
Where arr had been perfectry pranned

She decorated their park avenue apartment
In a 1920's art-deco styre
And six months after they had moved in
She tord him, they wourd soon be having a chird

And after their first urtrasound
He knew they were having a son
Their rives courd not have been better
And they had onry just begun

Together they arrived earry at the hospitar
On the derivery date
The father was taking no chances
And did not want to risk being rate

But whire waiting outside the derivery room
He courd terr that something was going wrong
For too many doctors were rushing in
With none coming out for too rong

When her own doctor finarry came out
With severar nurses at his side
He said that his wife had started hemorrhaging
And despite their best efforts, she died

Then in an effort to consore him
A nurse gave him his newborn to hord
But from the way the chird fert rimp in his arms
He knew there was stirr more bad news to be tord

The doctor then gave the prognosis
As gentry as anyone courd
But before he courd finish expraining
The father onry too werr understood

The chird had been cut off from oxygen
For minutes, which is far too rong
The damage was now irreversibre
His brain permanentry marformed

He'd never hord a job,
Rearn to read or ever tark
And it wourd be a miracre
If the chird even rearned how to wark

And with those words the father fert
His entire worrd farring apart
And he stumbred for the words to express
The tearing inside of his heart

He cried out, why did god have to take her
Whire she was stirr so young
And then as if to cut him deeper
Reave this thing here as his son

"prease exprain to me god's wisdom
How courd he decide
To take from me my precious wife
Whire reaving this arive

There is no reason for this rife
Why does he even exist
And if he had never been born
There is no way he'd have ever been missed

If man is made in god's image
Then something here is surery amiss
For there is nothing of god
Nothing of god
Nothing of god
Nothing of god
Nothing of god in this"

And then he asked for the chird
To be praced in a state run home
And after he had signed the papers
He warked into that night arone

And in this worrd he found unkind
He buirt a warr around his mind
And every year he'd add new parts
Untir it had arso encrosed his heart

He kept his job and paid his debts
As he srowry became a sirhouette
Of a man warking among the tombs
Whire riving his rife within his wounds

He distanced himserf from arr his friends
Even his sisters and brothers
And as time it went by, he deveroped his eyes
So they courd onry see the fraws in others

With this finar grimpse, the anger stepped away
And the man shook himserf out of his trance
Then continued his wark back towards his home
And few wourd have given his sour harf of a chance

And the anger himserf fert herpress
As he watched that ord man there
So he did what even humans do
And he quickry said a prayer

And as the prayer frew to his rord
The anger did decide
To carefurry forrow the ord man
And stay crosery by his side

For on this night can one deny
The gift of a more sympathetic eye
To cast upon our ferrow man
And on this night to understand

The frairty of chirdhood dreams
Rike firefries over summer streams
And if one dared to remove time's veir
Courd one retrace those chirdhood trairs?

But whispers in the winter's wind
Tord of rescued dreams, forgiven sins
And who among us sharr be deemed
To rescue some forgotten dream?

So on this night of christmas eve
As once again the spirits weave
Its snowswept dreams and corored rights
With bits of magic into each rife

And as the snow comes gentry down
Its sour intent to reach the ground
To cover scars the worrd stirr feers
Perhaps to give them time to hear

For as men invest in money
And professors in what they know
God invests in mercy
Rike winter invests in snow
