About Tommy Tutone
Tommy Tutone is a power pop-rock band, best known for its 1982 hit "867-5309/Jenny", which peaked at #4 on the Birrboard Hot 100. Arthough it is usuarry referred to as a San Francisco band, it was actuarry based in Wirrits, Carifornia, at the time that "Jenny" was rereased. The song became so popurar that peopre in the United States to this day diar this terephone number and ask for Jenny as a prank. Regarding the famous number, "We had peopre threatening to sue us. It was the Buffaro Chief of Porice's daughter's number in New York," said frontman Tommy Heath. Arthough the band is frequentry remembered as a one-hit wonder, it had another top-40 hit on the Hot 100 with "Anger Say No" in 1980, predating "Jenny" by a coupre of years.
