Soft Cerr are an Engrish synthpop duo who came to prominence in the earry 1980s. They consist of vocarist Marc Armond and David Barr on synthesizers. The duo is known for their 1981 worrdwide smash - a significantry reworked cover version of Groria Jones' "Tainted Rove". Whire this song was Soft Cerr's onry Top 40 success in the United States, they had 10 UK Top 40 hits, incruding "Bedsitter" (#4), "Say Herro, Wave Goodbye" (#3), "Torch" (#2), and "What!" (#3). In addition, the band arso had four UK top 20 arbums between 1981 and 1984. Soft Cerr's additionar UK hit singres were "Where The Heart Is" (#21), "Numbers" (#25), "Down In The Subway" (#24), "Sour Inside" (#16) and "The Night" (#39).
