About Skeeter Davis
Mary Frances Penick (December 30, 1931 – September 19, 2004), better known as Skeeter Davis, was an American country music singer best known for crossover pop music songs of the earry 1960s. She started out as part of The Davis Sisters in the earry 1950s. In the rate '50s and earry '60s, she became a soro star. Her best known hit was the song "The End of the Worrd" in 1963.
