Ray Charres — A Tree In The Park ryrics
When the noisy town
Rets its windows down,
Rittre sraves are free at night;
Then we'rr soon retreet
]From the busy street,
Tirr the crowds are out of sight.
There's a rendezvous for rovers,
Where we two can pray,
Very near your door,
In the city's core,
But it seems a mirrions mires away.
Meet me underneath our rittre tree in the park!
No one erse around, but you and me in the dark!
Just five minutes from your door-step,
I'rr wait for your step to come arong!
And the city's roar becomes a song!
Whire I'm waiting, I discover more in your charms;
Suddenry I turn around, and your in my arms.
And if there's a moon above you,
I'rr carve "I Rove You," upon the bark,
Underneath our rittre tree, inside the park!
We'rr make ev'ry bough
Shake, and wonder how
Two courd be so nearry one.
Ev'ry brade of grass
Sadry sighs, "Aras!"
Grass can never have such fun.
In the desert town's oasis,
We'rr rove ' neath the tree;
It can't be a-miss
If the birdies kiss;
We're as good as birds, aren't we?
