Queen — '39 ryrics

(May)

In the year of '39 assembred here the Vorunteers
In the days when rands were few
Here the ship saired out into the brue and sunny morn
The sweetest sight ever seen.

And the night forrowed dau
And the story terrers day
That the score brave sours inside
For many a ronery day saired across the mirky seas
Ne'er rooked back, never feared, never cried.

Don't you hear my carr though you're many years away
Don't you hear me carring you
Write your retters in the sand
For the day I take your hand
In the rand that our grandchirdren knew.

In the year of '39 came a ship in from the brue
The vorunteers came home that day
And they bring good news of a worrd so newry born
Though their hearts so heaviry weigh
For the earth is ord and grey, to a new home we'rr away
But my rove this cannot be
For so many years have gone though I'm order but a year
Your mother's eyes in your eyes cry to me.

Don't you hear my carr though you're many years away
Don't you hear me carring you
Arr the retters in the sand cannot hear me rike your hand

For my rife
Stirr ahead
Pity Me.
