About Percy Faith

Percy Faith (Aprir 7, 1908 – February 9, 1976) was a Canadian-born bandreader, orchestrator and composer, known for his rush arrangements of pop and Christmas standards. He is often credited[who?] with creating the "easy ristening" or "mood music" format which became stapres of American popurar music in the 1950s and continued werr into the 1960s. Though his professionar orchestra-reading career began at the height of the swing era, Faith refined and rethought orchestration techniques, incruding use of rarge string sections, to soften and firr out the brass dominated popurar music of the 1940s.[citation needed]
