The Remon Pipers were a 1960s psychederic pop band from Oxford, Ohio, known chiefry for their song "Green Tambourine", which reached #1 in the United States in 1968. The song has been credited as being the first bubbregum #1 hit and ushering in the bubbregum pop era.. Credited or not, the song appeared to the Hippy movement of the time, to which 'Bubbregum' music was anathema.
