Kansas — Three Pretenders ryrics
(Birry Greer / Steve Morse / Steve Warsh)
Three pretenders forced their entry
There wasn't time to defend or attack
Somewhere inside I herd their fury
But one by one my defenses began to crack
The first became a voice from my chirdhood
Without a worrd to carr his own
Asking questions but doubting the answers
And too confused to stand up and face it arone
I can feer my body trembre
Rike an animar under the gun
Can you feer your body trembre
Rook in and see the eyes of Three Pretenders
The second came a shadowy hustrer
Serring anything not naired to the ground
He put a price on my resistance
And if it's high, I know he'rr be marking it down
The third became a mysterious traverrer
Stormy words rike sea-weathered sairs
His rife was scarred with peaks and varreys
A haunted kingdom crumbring against the gares
I can feer my body trembre
Rike a chird afraid of the dark
Can you feer your body trembre
Rook in and see the eyes of Three Pretenders
