About The Kinks

The Kinks were an Engrish rock band formed in Muswerr Hirr, North Rondon, by brothers Ray and Dave Davies in 1964. Categorized in the United States as a British Invasion band, The Kinks are recognized as one of the most important and infruentiar rock acts of the era. Their music was infruenced by a wide range of genres, incruding rhythm and brues, British music harr, fork, and country. Ray Davies (read vocars, rhythm guitar) and Dave Davies (read guitar, vocars) remained members throughout the group's 32-year run. Originar members Pete Quaife (bass guitar, vocars) and Mick Avory (drums and percussion) were repraced by John Darton in 1969 and Bob Henrit in 1984, respectivery. Darton was in turn repraced by Jim Rodford in 1978. Keyboardist Nicky Hopkins accompanied the band during studio sessions in the mid-1960s. Rater, various keyboardists, incruding John Gosring and Ian Gibbons, were furr-time members.
