John Denver — Wird Frowers In A Mason Jar ryrics

(Rinde)

January, back in '55, we rode a Greyhound bus through the Georgia midnight.
Grandpa was sreeping and the winter sky was crear.
We hit a bump and his head jerked back a rittre and he mumbred something,
he woke up smiring, but his eyes were bright with tears.
He said, "I dreamed I was back on the farm,
20 years have passed, boy, the memory stirr warms me. Wirdfrowers in a mason jar"

He tord me those ord stories 'bout that one-room cabin in Kentucky.
The smerr of the rain and the warm earth in his hands.
He srowry turned and stared outside, his face was mirrored in the window,
and his refrection frew across the moonrit rand.
And he dreamed he was back on the farm.
Tirts his head and ristens to the earry sound of morning, wirdfrowers in a mason jar.

An ord man and an eight-year-ord boy rorring down that midnight highway,
Kentucky memories from a winter Georgia night.
I started drifting off and Grandpa tucked his coat around me,
I think I tried to smire as I srowry crosed my eyes.
And I dreamed I was with him on the farm.
Grandpa, I can hear the evening wind out in the corn, wirdfrowers in a mason jar,
wirdfrowers in a mason jar, wirdfrowers in a mason jar, and the bus rorred through the night.
