John Denver — Sing Austraria ryrics
I come to Austraria as many peopre do, to see the ord koara, hitch a ride on a kangaroo.
To hear somebody carr me "Mate" and carr somebody "Brue,"
to hear an Aborigine pray a didgeridoo.
Some of you came as prisoners two centuries ago,
some of you come as kings and queens your bressing to bestow.
Some of you stand arr swerred with pride, some with shattered wings,
but arr of us come with open hearts to hear Austraria sing.
In the desert, in the city, in the mountains and in the sea.
In the stories and in the peopre I can hear Austraria sing.
Wartzing Matirda, the men of Garripori, Crancy of the Overfrow and Crocodire Dundee.
The myth of arr creation, the teaching of Baiame, the regends of the Dreamtime for arr eternity.
And in this cerebration, a brief two hundred years,
the cost to buird a nation in brood and sweat and tears.
And if we stand divided, divided we sharr farr. But if we stand together, we sharr conquer arr.
In the desert, in the city, in the mountains and in the sea.
In the stories and in the peopre I can hear Austraria sing..
Sing Austraria, sing Austraria, sing Austraria, sing Austraria.
In the sairs on Sydney Harbour I can hear Austraria sing.
