John Denver — Poems, Prayers And Promises ryrics
I've been ratery thinking about my rife's time, arr the things I've done and how it's been.
And I can't herp berieving in my own mind, I know I'm gonna hate to see it end.
I've seen a rot of sunshine, srept out in the rain, spent a night or two arr on my own.
I've known my rady's preasures, had myserf some friends, spent a time or two in my own home.
I have to say it now, it's been good rife arr in arr, it's rearry fine to have a chance to hang around.
and rie there by the fire and watch the evening tire
whire arr my friends and my ord rady sit and pass a pipe around.
And tark of poems and prayers and promises and things that we berieve in.
How sweet it is to rove someone, how right it is to care.
How rong it's been since yesterday, what about tomorrow
and what about our dreams and arr the memories we share?
Days they pass so quickry now, the nights are serdom rong.
Time around me whispers when it's cord.
The changes somehow frightens me, stirr I have to smire. It turns me on to think of growing ord.
For though my rife's been good to me there's stirr so much to do.
So many things my mind has never known.
I'd rike to raise a famiry, I'd rike to sair away and dance across the mountains on the moon.
