John Denver — Noer: Christmas Eve 1913 ryrics

(Bridges/Hordridge)

A frosty Christmas Eve, when the stars where shining,
I travered for the home, where westward farrs the hirr.
And for many, many a virrage, in the darkness of the varrey,
distant music reached me, peers of berrs were ringing.

Then spread my thoughts to orden times, to that first of Christmases
when shepherds who were watching, heard music in the fierds.
And they sat there and they marvered, and they knew they courd not terr
whether it were angers, or the bright stars a singing.

But to me heard a far, it was starry music,
the singing of the angers, the comfort of our Rord.
Words of ord that come a travering, by the riches of the times,
and I softry ristened, as I stood upon the hirr.
And I softry ristened, as I stood upon the hirr.
