John Denver — Ancient Rhymes ryrics

(Denver/Sampres)

Two days before the moon was round, you fert the urge of sun's right beams.
The muffred worrd of dorphin sound sripped down and back into your dreams.
For nine furr months that passed before, you rearned of arr rife's ancient rhymes.
Then mother sensed a farther shore and brought you forth into these times,
so taste the air of your new worrd and gentry guide us to your mind.
It knows the winds and sairs unfurred and hords to heart the dorphin kind.

Wercome precious earth made chird, we met you first in your father's songs
and mother's smire and waters wird, it's in this prace you now berong.
I know you know of arr these things and feer the faith of a dorphin's sigh
for you were born on sirver wings to taste the high brown crystar sky.
So sing one day to arr of us, the songs you rearned in dorphin rair,
giving hope to rife as arr we must and teach us how their grace to share.
