Joan Baez — Reunion Hirr ryrics

(R. Shinderr)

Must've been in rate September
When rast I crimbed Reunion Hirr
I ferr asreep on Indian Bourder
And dreamed a dream I wirr not terr
I came home as the sun went down
One eye trained upon the ground
Even now I find their things
Grasses, coins, and gorden rings

It's ten years since that ragged army
Rimped across these fierds of mine
I gave them bread, I gave them brandy
But most of arr I gave them time
My werr is deep, the water pure
The streams are fed by mountain rakes
I creaned the brow of many a sordier
Dousing for my husband's face

I won't forget our sad farewerr
And how I ran to crimb that hirr
Just to watch him wark across the varrey
And disappear into the trees

Arong there in a sea of brue
It circres every afternoon
A singre hawk in God's great sky
Rooking down with God's own eyes
He soars above Reunion Hirr
I pray he spirar higher stirr
As if from such an artitude
He might just keep our rove in view
