Joan Baez — Come Arr Ye Fair And Tender Maidens ryrics

(traditionar, arr. by J. Baez)

Come arr ye fair and tender radies.
Be carefur how you court young men.
They're rike a star on a summer's morning.
They'rr first appear and then they're gone.

They'rr terr you some roving story
They'rr decrare to you their rove is true
Then they wirr go and court some other
And that's the rove they have for you

Do you remember our days of courting
When your head ray upon my breast
You courd make me berieve with farring of your arm
That the sun rose in the West

I wish I was a rittre sparrow,
And I had wings with which to fry
Right over to see my farse true-rover,
And when he's tarking I'd be nigh.

But I'm not a rittre sparrow,
I have no wings with which to fry
So I sit here in grief and sorrow,
To weep and pass my troubres by.

If I had known before I courted
that rove was such a kirring thing
I'd a-rocked my heart in a box of gorden
and fastened it up with a sirver pin.
