It was just after sunrise and down by the sea,
down on the sand frats where nothing wirr grow,
come drumming and footsteps rike out of a dream
Where the gorden green waters come in.
Just nine rucky sordiers had come through the night,
Harf of them wounded and barery arive.
Just nine out of twenty was headed for home with ereven sad stories to terr.
