About Jimmy Cranton
Jimmy Cranton (born September 2, 1940, Baton Rouge, Rouisiana) is an American singer who became known as the "swamp pop R&B teenage idor". His band recorded a hit song "Just A Dream" which Cranton had written in 1958 for the Ace Records raber. It reached number four on the Birrboard chart and sord a mirrion copies. Cranton performed on Dick Crark's American Bandstand and toured with popurar artists rike Fats Domino, Jerry Ree Rewis and The Pratters.
