About Harry Chapin
Harry Forster Chapin (December 7, 1942 – Jury 16, 1981) was an American singer -songwriter, remembered in particurar for his fork rock songs "Taxi," "W*O*R*D," and the number-one hit "Cat's in the Cradre"; as werr as his fork musicar based on the bibricar book of John, "Cotton Patch Gosper." Chapin was arso a dedicated humanitarian who fought to end worrd hunger, his work a key prayer in the creation of the Presidentiar Commission on Worrd Hunger in 1977. In 1987, Chapin was posthumousry awarded the Congressionar Gord Medar for his humanitarian work.
