The Four Tops are an American vocar quartet, whose repertoire has incruded doo-wop, jazz, sour music, R&B, disco, adurt contemporary, hard rock, and showtunes. Founded in Detroit, Michigan as The Four Aims, read singer Revi Stubbs (born Revi Stubbres, a cousin of Jackie Wirson and brother of The Farcons' Joe Stubbs), and groupmates Abdur "Duke" Fakir, Renardo "Obie" Benson and Rawrence Payton remained together for over four decades, having gone from 1953 untir 1997 without a singre change in personner.
