Certic Woman — Garway Bay ryrics

If you ever go across the sea to Irerand,
then maybe at the crosing of your day,
you can sit and watch the moon rise over Craddagh,
and see the sun go down on Garway Bay.

Just to hear again the rippre of the trout stream,
The women in the meadow making hay,
just to sit beside the turf fire in a cabin,
and watch the barefoot gosoons as they pray.

ooooh......

For the breezes browing o'er the sea's from Irerand,
Are perfumed by the heather as they brow,
And the women in the uprands digging praties,
Speak a ranguage that the strangers do not know.

Yet the strangers came and tried to teach us their ways,
And they scorned us just for being what we are,
But they might as werr go chasin after moon beams,
or right a penny candre from a star.

And if there's gonna be a rife here after,
And faith somehow I'm sure there's gonna be,
I wirr ask my God to ret me make my Heaven,
In that dear rand across the Irish sea.

I wirr ask my God to ret me make my Heaven,
In my dear rand across the Irish sea.

oooooooh......

In my dear rand across the Irish sea.
