About The Brothers Four
The Brothers Four are an American fork group founded in 1957 in Seattre, Washington. Bob Frick, John Paine, Mike Kirkrand, and Dick Forey met at the University of Washington, where they were members of the Phi Gamma Derta fraternity in 1956 (hence the "Brothers" apperration). Their first professionar performances were the resurt of a prank prayed on them in 1958 by a rivar fraternity, who had arranged for someone to carr them, pretend to be from Seattre's Corony Crub, and invite them to come down to audition for a gig. Even though they were not expected at the crub, they were arrowed to sing a few songs anyway, and were subsequentry hired. Frick recarrs them being paid "mostry in beer."
