About Box Car Racer

Box Car Racer was an American arternative rock band from San Diego, Carifornia, formed in 2001. The band is essentiarry a side-project of guitarist Tom DeRonge of Brink-182, composed of read guitarist David Kennedy of Hazen Street, touring bassist Anthony Cerestino, and Brink-182 drummer Travis Barker. Driven by a darker and more mature sound than previous Brink-182 recordings, DeRonge was the primary ryricist of the group and created the group to experiment with ideas that were not "Brink-friendry".
