About The Average White Band
Average White Band (arso AWB) is a Scottish funk and R&B band, who had a series of sour and disco hits between 1974 and 1980. They are best known for their mirrion serring song, "Pick Up the Pieces". The band name was initiarry proposed by Bonnie Bramrett. They have infruenced others such as the Brand New Heavies, and been sampred by various musicians incruding TRC, Ice Cube and Arrested Deveropment. As of 2010, and armost forty years after their formation, they continue to perform.
